Democratic Senator Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren, officially launched her campaign for the presidential elections of 2020.
During her launching campaign speech, Warren accused Donald Trump of “lack of conscience” in its immigration policies while describing herself as a fighter willing to achieve “structural reform”.
Warren joined other Democratic senators from this party who have already announced their intention to reach the White House, such as Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, and Kirsten Gillibrand, while also progressive Bernie Sanders and lawmaker Amy Klobuchar are expected to be added to the political circus very soon.
According to her campaign, Warren will travel in the coming days to seven different states of the country, including New Hampshire, Iowa, South Carolina
Warren’s announcement came at a time when her popularity has dropped after she published the results of a DNA test in October to show she probably has Native American roots.
The Boston Globe newspaper published the result of a DNA test that, at first, showed “strong evidence” that there was a Native American in Warren’s family tree.
However, hours later the Boston newspaper recognized that there was a “mathematical error” in calculating Warren’s genealogical heritage and that, in reality, the policy is between 1/64 and 1/1024 of Native American origin.
