Ocasio-Cortez preparing to block Trump’s emergency declaration, but she will fail

Ocasio-Cortez is about to create another disaster after she announced on Friday that she’s joining Democrat Joaquin Castro introduce a bill to Congress that would block President Donald Trump’s emergency declaration.

The Democratic representative for the state of Texas, Joaquín Castro said in a statement: “If President Trump declares a national emergency to finance his border wall, I am prepared to present a resolution to end the president’s emergency declaration.”

Socialist Ocasio-Cortez, aka AOC, confirmed her plans on social networks, both Instagram and Twitter:

It has been less than 24 hours since the 29-year-old socialist congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, took credit for having Amazon cancel its expansion plans in New York, which has cost the state thousands of jobs and billions in tax revenues that are desperately needed.

In an interesting turn of events, the Capitol’s own expert group, the non-partisan Congressional Research Service, has determined that President Trump’s emergency declaration will be legal and that he is simply using the powers that other Presidents have used.

The Congressional Research Service published a report on the situation of the border wall and said that Congress itself wrote the legal path that President Trump had to follow to use the Pentagon’s construction money to build the wall.

The legal expert and George Washington University School of Law professor John Banzhaf commented on the report of the Congressional Research Service and said: “Many in Congress are condemning the decision just announced by President Donald Trump. to declare a national emergency to help build a wall on the southern border, but a statement would apparently be both legal and effective. “

Even more shocking is the Washington Post confirmed that President Trump’s statement will be legal and will survive any challenge, such as the one that Ocasio-Cortez announced this morning.

“The courts will probably allow Trump to declare an emergency, the National Emergency Law gives the president enormous discretion and powers. The Supreme Court has already shown its willingness to defer to Trump in the national security claims, “the Washington Post said this morning.

The move is already drawing bipartisan criticism on Capitol Hill and is expected to face rounds of legal challenges.

President Trump said he expected legal challenges to his decision about declaring a national emergency but he said today he’s is sure that he’ll be vindicated.

The Democrats will simply fail. Ocasio-Cortez is dangerous because she has no idea what she’s doing, but his growing list of disasters such as Amazon’s cancellation is exposing Americans to what the Democratic Party really wants to do to the US.
