USA Today and The South Florida Business Journal indicated that the assets will be acquired through Diamond Sports Group, a subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcasting Group.
The Disney-Sinclair Broadcasting agreement, which derives from the alliance between The Walt Disney Company and Twenty-First Century Fox for a value of 71.3 billion dollars, is subject to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) of US laws.
The networks included in the agreement between Sinclair Broadcasting and The Walt Disney Company include the assets of Fox Sports Arizona, Fox Sports Detroit, Fox Sports Florida, Fox Sports Sun, Fox Sports North, Fox Sports Wisconsin, Fox Sports Ohio, Sports Time Ohio, Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Carolina, Fox Sports Tennessee, Fox Sports Southeast.
The acquisition also includes Fox Sports Southwest, Fox Sports Oklahoma, Fox Sports New Orleans, Fox Sports Midwest, Fox Sports Kansas City, Fox Sports Indiana, Fox Sports San Diego, Fox Sports West, Prime Ticket, as well as Fox College Sports.
Sinclair Broadcasting earned 3,055.08 million dollars in 2018 and 2,636.21 million dollars in 2017. Its net income stood at 341.24 million dollars last year and 576.01 million dollars in 2017.
