Following the release of his tax records, former President Donald Trump has taken aim at President Joe Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and a prominent newspaper.
The Ways and Means Committee of the House of Representatives released six years of the former president’s tax returns on Friday, just days before Republicans assume control of the House.
On his Truth Social platform, Trump made a series of posts attacking his political opponents and also lamented the loss of veteran news anchor Barbara Walters.
Friday, the former president shared articles that focused on Biden and Pelosi, who will step down as House speaker when the new Congress convenes on January 3.
Trump shared a Breitbart article titled “7 Biggest Biden Family Business Reveals of 2022” with his 4.77 million followers, followed by a call for the release of Pelosi’s tax returns from The American Spectator.
Later, Trump shared a Washington Post article on the decline of local newspapers and wrote: “Numerous of these newspapers are failing because they only know how to publish Fake News.
Hopefully, the Washington Post and the New York Times will join the group in the near future!
No one will continue to incur such losses, particularly for a product unworthy of our once-great nation.”
One of the four posts that Trump shared from Fox News host Sean Hannity featured former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee criticizing Biden’s vacation to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
“It’s the arrogance of having fake and corrupt media, combined with a mentally blind president!”
Trump authored.
Trump eulogized Barbara Walters early Saturday morning, referring to her as “by far the greatest of them all” before taking another shot at The New York Times:.” “Their motto should be, ALL THE FAKE NEWS THAT’S UNFIT TO PRINT. They are the Enemy of the People!”
He then warned that if the tax cuts enacted during his administration were not extended, “OUR ECONOMY WILL COME CRASHING DOWN—THE BIG ONE!!!”
It appears that he was referring to the possibility of a recession.
In a statement released to Newsweek on Friday, Trump warned that House Democrats “should have never” made public his tax returns and that the Supreme Court should not have authorized the release of the documents to the Democrats.
Trump stated, “It will lead to terrible consequences for so many people.” “The great divide in the United States will now grow substantially wider. The far-left, radical Democrats have armed everything, but remember that this is a two-way street!”
