The New England Patriots’ owner, Robert Kraft, was identified as a suspect and now faces prostitution charges in an undercover operation in the state of Florida.
Jupiter police confirmed Kraft’s identity at a press conference in Florida. Kraft faces two charges of soliciting prostitution.
“We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft has participated in any illegal activity because it is a judicial matter, we will not comment further,” a spokesman said.
According to the authorities, Kraft is accused of having solicited a prostitute on at least 2 separate occasions, approximately “a month ago.” Police said they have obtained evidence from the surveillance video and also from body cameras.
Authorities say Kraft was taken to the spa by a driver where the average cost per visit for services is $ 59 or $ 79 per hour, according to police.
Authorities say the women accused of running the sex trafficking network operated at local spas that were touted as massage parlors.
A mass sex trafficking operation that spanned several Florida cities resulted in nearly 50 arrests and 175 warrants were issued, authorities said.
Officials at the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office said 171 arrest warrants were issued this week, and at least 45 suspects were arrested as part of the six-month investigation into massage parlors where victims were recruited to perform
The sheriff’s office worked with the Vero Beach and Sebastian Police Departments, along with the Department of Homeland Security, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Orlando Metropolitan Research Office.
The suspects face more than 200 charges of soliciting prostitution, while the main targets of the investigation also face several charges, including extortion, prostitution support, prostitution and transportation for prostitution, authorities said
