Agents from the New York DEA executed a raid in which they seized enough fentanyl to “kill nearly 2 million people.”
Five people have been arrested in what federal authorities said was a fentanyl and heroin factory mill operating in a suburban residential house in Westchester County, ABC 7 reported Friday night.
Agents from the DEA and the Greenburgh police conducted the operation at about 10:15 am Friday at 129 Euclid Avenue, in the Ardsley village.

According to a DEA spokesperson, who cited the aforementioned media, five kilograms of the synthetic opioid and six kilograms of heroin were seized along with other paraphernalia, including cutting items, shredders and bags. The researchers added that after processing, the drugs were going to be moved to another site to be sold.
The photos taken by the DEA showed furniture with hidden compartments where detainees hid bags of powdered substances.
The owner of the house told Eyewitness News that he rented the two-story property in December to a couple who moved out of the Bronx, but said he was not aware of any illegal activity.
The DEA noted that it received the cooperation of the residents of the neighborhood during the investigation.
“Only fentanyl has the power to kill more than two million people,” said Ray Donovan, DEA special agent in charge, who in turn congratulated the men and women of the team for their “quick and efficient investigation into this organization and its diligence for the safety of the residents who live nearby. ”
