President Donald Trump took a post-Mueller summary victory lap at a campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Thursday, telling supporters that “after three years of lies and smears and slander, the Russia hoax is finally dead.”
President Donald Trump held his first rally on Thursday since the end of the nearly two-year investigation of special prosecutor Robert Mueller.
Trump did not deprive himself of attacking his opponents and at the same time presented an almost mythical image of his achievements in the White House.

The president smiled and gave them more. For an hour and a half he wondered if the Democratic opponents would continue with the “ridiculous bullshit”.
Trump said that his surprise victory in the 2016 elections was possibly the most extraordinary event of his life: “They never saw anything like this and nobody lived it in the history of this country and of most countries.”
He quoted God, warned against the Socialists and promised to “make the United States rich again.”
He told reporters covering the event – of which a dozen traveled with him on Air Force One from Washington – and threw “cheating journalists” and “corrupt media.” The crowd booed, as if it were a sporting event.
The end of Mueller’s investigation, which analyzed whether there was collusion of Trump’s campaign team with the Russians to interfere in the 2016 elections, gave the ex-magnate real estate and exastro of reality TV a strong boost in the midst of his search for the reelection in 2020.
According to a summary of the report, which remains secret, Mueller determined that the Russians tried to interfere in the elections, but that there is no evidence that there has been collusion with the Trump team.
There are many questions that remained unanswered about Trump’s ties to Russia and about his behavior during the difficult investigation.
Even so, the result of the investigation is nothing more than an impressive victory for the president, who always said he was a victim of a “witch hunt”.
The Michigan rally was his victory dance.
– “Lock them up” –
One by one, he went over his great successes before his audience: the wall on the border with Mexico, his pro-Israeli policies, the strength of the market, his drive to the car manufacturers and then his mockery of the Democrats for their ecological policies like the Green New Deal.
But the basis of his speech this time was anger – and a certain sense of vindication – over Mueller’s research.
And Trump did not repress it. He said the investigation was a “crazy attempt” by the Democrats and the media to “sabotage the will of the American people” by questioning their victory.
“Their fraud was exposed and the credibility of those who drove this deception was broken forever,” he said.
Delighting in his triumph he said the Democrats are “now on artificial respirators.” “They are receiving mouth-to-mouth breathing.”
“Sick, sick people are sick people,” he said.
Trump asked the authors of the investigation to be held accountable and smiled. The crowd responded with a new cry: “Lock them Up!”
