Hypocrite Joe Biden: A fence is needed to stop ‘tons’ of drugs from Mexico

Joe Biden once spoke about jailing employers who hire “illegals,” and argued that a fence was needed stop “tons” of drugs coming into the country from “corrupt Mexico.” and also said sanctuary cities should not be allowed to violate federal law, CNN reported.

In November 2006, at a Rotary club in South Carolina, Biden expressed his support for the Safe Fence Decree, the initiative that would authorize 700 miles of a double fence with a budget amount greater than the one billion dollars.

“The reason why I think the fence is needed has nothing to do with immigration as much as with drugs,” Biden said. “And let me tell you that people are driving by that border with tons, hear me, tons, everything from products derived for methamphetamines to cocaine and heroin and that all that comes through corrupt Mexico.”

At another political event in 2007, Biden called for sending employers of undocumented immigrants to prison.

The Florida Pundit reviewed the video that had been uploaded to YouTube, here is the link:

This border fence proposal was also supported by the then Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

The comments of then-Senator Biden, made during the 2006 presidential race, show a focus on the immigration issue that could go against the most liberal part of the party now that Biden aspires to be the Democratic candidate who confronts President Trump in 2020.

They also show how Joe Biden’s hypocrisy and government curriculum can come to contrast with the current position of the Democratic Party.
