Hillary Clinton’s Youngest Brother, Tony Rodham, Dies

Tony Rodham, Hillary Clinton’s youngest brother, died Friday night, revealed the former secretary of state in a tweet, remembering him as “nice” and “generous.”

“It’s hard to find words, my mind is flooded with memories of him today (Saturday),” Clinton wrote in the publication early on Saturday. “When he entered a room, he lit it with laughter.”

So far the cause of death is unknown, NBC News reported.

Rodham, was born in 1954 and was the youngest of her brothers. Clinton, 71, and his brother Hugh Rodham, were his older brothers.

The youngest of the family grew up like his brothers in Park Ridge, just outside of Chicago, and studied at two universities, although he never graduated.

Throughout a career with many ups and downs, Rodham had several jobs including a prison guard, private detective, and business consultant and he was never in the public sphere, although he did collaborate with his sister and her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

During the 2016 election campaign, several media outlets brought to light some of the favors that the Clintons did to him, such as getting him a job at a friend’s company when he needed money.

In addition, an investigation found that the company he worked for had received special treatment in the management of visas for his Chinese investors, raising suspicions about the possibility that Rodham had used the influence of his sister.

Those doubts also surrounded some of his businesses during his time as a consultant.

The 65-year-old man was married to Megan Madden since 2005. It was his second marriage after divorcing his first wife, Nicole Boxer in 2001.

Rodham was the father of three children: Zachary Boxer Rodham, Simon Rodham and Fiona Rodham.
