Bill de Blasio launches attack: Dems too focused on trying to impeach Trump

Democrats should spend less time talking about impeaching President Trump and more time focusing on the things that really matter, according to New York City Mayor, and Democratic Presidential candidate, Bill de Blasio.

During an interview for the “Special Report” program on , Mayor Bill de Blasio said he would like to see the Democrats focused on the needs of workers and not so immersed in their efforts to prosecute the US president.

The mayor of New York assures that the results of the investigation carried out by the special lawyer Robert Mueller threw “imputable infractions” against the US president, for which he urged to carry out new investigations.

“I would say that all Democrats should say this, it is necessary that there be a full investigation, the Mueller report offers many important proofs. I think that ultimately, there are crimes that can be challenged there, “he said.

However, despite the results of the investigation of the so-called “Russian plot”, the mayor believes that the Democrats are only focusing all their efforts on impeachment and not on their work as representatives of the entire nation.

“I am very concerned that when people turn on to your network (Fox News), or any other network, they see Democrats inside Washington simply talking about politics, just talking about process, just talking about impeachment, when they should talk about how they are going to fight for working people, “said Bill de Blasio.

De Blasio’s criticism comes comes after a large number of Democrats have made several calls to start with the impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump. Among the Democrats calling for impeachment are also several Democratic candidates for the presidency such as Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris.
