Eddie Money, ‘Two Tickets to Paradise’ singer, dead at 70

The singer of “Baby hold on” and “Two tickets to paradise”, Eddie Money, died this Friday due to cancer at age 70. The news was confirmed by his family, and there are no more details about it, although for a little over a month, he had announced that he was suffering from cancer in the esophagus.

“The Money family regrets announcing that Eddie passed away peacefully this morning. With dejected hearts we say goodbye to our beloved husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live forever through his music,” the relatives of the deceased.

Money began his musical career in 1968 and soon became famous for songs like ‘Two Tickets to Paradise’, ‘Baby Hold On’ and ‘Think I’m in Love’. He also appeared on television programs: since April 2018 he was the star of the reality TV show ‘Real Money’ that broadcast the AXS TV network.

His family announced his death with a brief statement

“Eddie Money died quietly early this morning. With great regret we said goodbye to our beloved husband and father,” reads the first part of the statement. “We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live forever through your music, “the statement adds.

Just last August, Eddie Money announced that he was suffering from stage 4 esophageal cancer with liver metastases. He explained that he discovered it last fall while he was recording a reality show that would be called “Real Money”, and that he would star alongside his family.

“I thought I was going to have a checkup and he told me I had cancer. It’s in the esophagus, just above the stomach. It has also spread to the liver. It was a very hard blow. I don’t want to hide the fact that I have cancer at all. the world. He’s not honest. I want to be honest with everyone, “Eddie Money revealed at the time.

At that time, Money felt positive about the advances in technology. “Not everyone dies of cancer as it happened in the 50s and 60s. Will I live for a long time? Who knows. It’s in God’s hands. But, you know what? I’m going to take advantage of every day I can . Every day on earth is a good day, “Money said just last August.
