Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, US President Donald Trump held an event at the White House on Friday where he praised the Latino community and assured them of their support in the fight against communism and socialism.
The President recalled and thanked the “Hispanic-American men and women embody the American values of devotion to faith and family, hard work, and patriotism through their countless contributions,”
“Hispanics enrich the United States in countless ways and we will always honor the solemn commitment we have with you,” Trump said.
He also highlighted the work of his administration and highlighted a variety of positive achievements for the Hispanic community, including the creation of 6 million new jobs and the entry into the workforce of 1 million Latinas.
“The level of unemployment among Hispanic Americans is currently the lowest in the history of the country,” Trump said and referred to the community as “talented, hardworking and family-loving.”
The President also took the opportunity to talk about the importance of having “strong borders” to control illegal immigration.
“We know better than anyone how important borders are. We don’t want people coming to our country to hurt us, and frankly, we don’t want people coming to our country to take our work. It’s very simple, ”he said.
He also highlighted the help they are having from Mexico with the participation of their army to guard the border.

“We will not allow the horrors of socialism and communism to be repeated in our country,” president Trump said.
