President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he has officially signed the bipartisan Epstein disclosure bill, a move aimed at shedding light on the connections between Democrats and the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.
In a statement on Truth Social, Trump criticized Democratic leaders for their longstanding relationships with Epstein, arguing that his own Justice Department, not Democrats, had brought charges against the convicted sex offender in 2019.
“Jeffrey Epstein was a lifelong Democrat,” Trump wrote, highlighting that Epstein donated thousands of dollars to Democratic campaigns and maintained close relationships with key party figures. The president singled out former President Bill Clinton, noting that Clinton had traveled on Epstein’s private plane 26 times. Other figures mentioned included former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, tech billionaire Reid Hoffman, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and Delegate Stacey Plaskett.
Trump emphasized that the Epstein disclosure bill ensures the release of thousands of pages of documents detailing Epstein’s activities, associates, and past government investigations. “Perhaps the truth about these Democrats and their connections to Jeffrey Epstein will finally come to light, because I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!” he declared.
The legislation passed with overwhelming support in both chambers, a result Trump credited to House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., who helped fast-track the measure at his request. The president also revealed that his Justice Department has already submitted nearly 50,000 pages of Epstein-related records to Congress, contrasting sharply with the Biden administration’s refusal to provide files on the same matter.
“Do not forget — the Biden Administration did not release a single page related to Democrat Epstein,” Trump said, calling out the administration for avoiding transparency. He added that Democrats have used the Epstein scandal to “distract” from what he called his movement’s “amazing victories.”
With the Epstein disclosure bill now law, Trump aims to bring greater accountability and public scrutiny to the relationships between prominent Democrats and the controversial financier.
