While the United States commemorated one of the greatest tragedies in its history, at a hospital in Tennessee a baby was born on 9/11 at 9:11 p.m. and as if that wasn’t enough, she weighed 9 pounds and 11 ounces.
Christina Brown was born and with her a miracle, according to her family. And it is that the circumstances of his birth could prove once again, for those who believe in it, that coincidences exist.
“Oh, I had never seen anything like that in 38 years,” patient care coordinator Rachel Laughlin told Memphis WREG-3 Channel. “It’s very rare but very special. It simply makes her an even more special girl than she already is. ”
According to the television report, the mother was going to have the delivery at Le Bonheur Germantown Methodist Hospital by cesarean section. She and her husband, Justin, entered the delivery room around 8:55 p.m.
“The doctor came out excited,” Justin recalled, in statements to this medium. “She was like,‘ Oh my God, this is a baby on 9/11, 9/11, 9/11! ”
“Everyone said we should play the lottery,” Justin joked, in statements to the Commercial Appeal newspaper.
The mother of the newborn described to this medium the feeling of the family: “She arrives on September 11, there was so much devastation, but she brings all this joy and life to the world because everyone has been waiting for her.”
