Lebanon airport hack displays anti-Hezbollah message

The international airport in Beirut, Lebanon, experienced a hack on Sunday, which resulted in the display of anti-Hezbollah messages on information display screens. This occurred as tensions in the region continue to rise.

Display screens that normally display arrival and departure times instead displayed a message on Sunday accusing the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah of putting Lebanon in danger of going to war with Israel, according to the Associated Press. According to reports, the message was displayed alongside the logos of the organization known as The One Who Spoke and the group known as Soldiers of God, which the Associated Press (AP) noted has gained attention in Lebanon for its anti-LGBTQ campaigns.

According to the Associated Press, The Soldiers of God denied any involvement in the incident, while The One Who Spoke posted photographs of the message on various social media platforms.

Hassan Nasrallah, you will no longer have supporters if you curse Lebanon with a war for which you will bear responsibility and consequences, the message read, according to the wire outlet. “Hassan Nasrallah, you will no longer have supporters.”

According to The Associated Press, anti-Hezbollah domestic groups were responsible for carrying out the hack. In addition, the Associated Press mentioned that local state-run media reported that the hack momentarily disrupted the operation of the baggage inspection system.

Beginning with the beginning of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, Hezbollah has been launching attacks against Israeli military bases and positions along its northern border, and Israel has been responding with fire. Over the past few weeks, tensions have only increased, culminating in the alleged assassination of a high-ranking Hamas official by Israeli forces in a suburb of Beirut last week.

An intense exchange of fire took place between Israel and Hezbollah on Saturday, which was one day after the leader of the militant group, Hassan Nasrallah, stated that it was necessary for the group to retaliate for the alleged killing of the top Hamas official.

“We are unable to remain silent in the face of a violation of this seriousness because doing so would mean that each and every one of our people would be vulnerable to being targeted. According to a report by the Associated Press, he stated that all of our cities, villages, and public figures would be exposed.
