Pelosi Blocks Names of 13 Service Members Killed From Being Read on House Floor

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) has blocked the names of the 13 U.S. service members killed in Afghanistan from being read in the House of Representatives a day after America officially left Afghanistan and less than a week after a suicide bomber killed them.

Rep. Brian Mast (R), an Afghanistan wounded combat veteran, also tweeted that during a Republican-only “minute of silence,” Speaker Pelosi refused to allow them to “read names or bring up bills or anything.”

“We gaveled in, performed a prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, a minute of silence with almost all Republican veterans, then requested to be acknowledged to read names and bring up Afghanistan legislation.
They didn’t acknowledge us and basically shut down the House,” stated Rep. Mast.

Rep. Greg Steube (R) voiced his displeasure with Pelosi’s refusal to allow him and his Republican colleagues to read the names.

“House Democrats simply refused to acknowledge Republican veterans on the House Floor so that the names of our fallen service members in Afghanistan may be read aloud.
That is how far our country has fallen,” Rep. Steube tweeted.
