Former President Donald Trump is once again endorsing friend Anna Paulina Luna in her bid for the 13th Congressional District in Florida.
As he put it in his statement, “She is a decorated Air Force veteran who puts America first, unlike her RINO opponents”.
“Anna is committed to maintaining strong border security, helping veterans, and safeguarding Florida’s gorgeous coastline. Because it’s “critical” to retaking the House, this is a crucial race.”
Trump also said: “Anna Paulina Luna is a great fighter running for Congress in Florida.”
“Anna is a warrior and a winner, and it is time for all America First Republicans to rally behind her powerful campaign.
Anna has my complete and total endorsement.”
Prior to the 2020 election, Luna received a Trump endorsement and proceeded to the General Election against incumbent Representative Charlie Crist who is resigning his seat to run for Governor.
It’s no secret that CD 13 is a purple district right now. Republicans, in a huge voter registration campaign that will continue until the 2022 midterms, reduced the Democratic lead in the Pinellas County district from 5.2 percentage points to 4.6 percentage points before the 2016 presidential election.
After Florida’s Supreme Court rejected their last attempt to create a map that favored the GOP, Republicans in charge of the redistricting process may reduce that gap even further by pushing district borders northward.
Luna’s supporters include former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, radio presenter, and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who announced their support for Luna in July.
