President Donald Trump could achieve the construction of the border wall using funds from the Corps of Engineers reserved to finance recovery projects in disaster areas, such as Puerto Rico.

In exclusive, NBC News reported that Trump was presented with the plan on Thursday to use part of the almost $ 14,000 million to achieve the project.

“The plan could be implemented if Trump declares a national emergency to build the wall and would use more money and build more miles than his administration requested from Congress,” reads the article.

With the plan, according to NBC sources, Trump could use more than $ 2,000 million destined for California, as well as the $ 2.5 billion reserved for reconstruction projects in Puerto Rico, which continues to recover from the scourge of Hurricane Maria.

President Trump was informed that the Army Corps could build 315 miles of wall in 18 months. The president’s initial proposal was 234 miles.

Most likely, Democrats in Congress are going to submit legislation to block the money from being reallocated.
