Joe Biden campaign running out of money, asking donors for help

Joe Biden’s presidential campaign admitted they have concerns about its lack of money in an email that was sent to all his followers where they seem worried about his campaign been far below in matters of finance compared to his Democratic opponents.

After the Federal Election Commission showed this week the amounts raised by the various Democratic candidates for the presidency of the United States, the Joe Biden campaign went into a state of financial concern because it was discovered that Biden registered just under $9 million in cash, unlike its main Democratic opponents such as Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, who recorded revenues of $33.7 million, $25.7 million and $10.5 million, respectively.

Even Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who is not among the favorites, achieved a collection that exceeded $23 million.

Given this situation, Joe Biden’s campaign sent an email with the following message:

“I hate to say it, but our opponents are way ahead of us when it comes to money in the bank,” said Elana Firsht, director of online fundraising for the Biden campaign. “If we don’t accelerate the pace here, we may have to make budget cuts that could seriously damage our momentum in these primaries.”

“Having less cash on hand means we have less budget to respond to the constant twists and turns of this race, and with Donald Trump constantly pressing his smear campaign against Joe, that’s a HUGE problem,” Firsht wrote, referring to the unfounded claims of President Trump.

“The first votes will be cast in this primary as of February 3, 2020, in just over 100 days, and we must boost our grassroots efforts in crucial states such as Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina,” she added. “We cannot afford to delay, so I ask you to step forward and make a donation to boost our campaign.”

The economic situation of the Biden campaign alerted several strategists and analysts, who said in an interview to The Hill that Biden seems not to be prepared to lead a campaign of this magnitude: “Joe Biden is cruising to a bruising unless he can reverse the free fall he’s been in since he announced back in the spring, ”said Democratic strategist Brad Bannon.
