Round two: CNN Jim Acosta and Trump nasty press conference exchange

CNN’s Jim Acosta began a heated press conference exchange with President Donald Trump in which he tried to argue that illegal immigrants commit crimes at a lower rate than Americans.

President Trump immediately realized that Jim Acosta was being an activist and that Acosta was making remarks instead of asking questions, so he ordered Acosta to hurry: “Hurry, come on.”

President Donald Trump spoke during a press conference on national security and the humanitarian crisis on our southern border in the White House Rose Garden, where he declared a national emergency to access funds to build the wall.

The president had to deal with the mainstream media, which used manipulative questions to try to undermine his declaration of emergency.

To be fair, President Trump and the Republicans have not removed this ridiculous argument, that because the crimes of illegal immigrants are supposedly lower than the legal population, we should not have problems to allow these people to enter the country.

When Democrats use this argument, they should be told that the crime rate for illegal immigrants does not matter because it is still a crime that could be stopped. What does the rate matter? One would never stop locking the door at night just because the crime rate has decreased.

Leaving our borders open because the crime rate is supposedly lower for immigrants is ridiculous and the President should take that argument away from the Democrats the next time they use it.

The rate does not matter because crime is completely avoidable if we secure our borders. No real American should accept this argument from the Democrats because it is nothing more than a trick and a distraction to avoid securing the border.

This is not the first time that the President and Jim have a heated press conference exchange, the clashes between the president and the CNN reporter are long-standing.

The first press conference offered by Trump as president-elect of the United States marked the precedent of the complicated relationship they have maintained during these two years of office. The then-new tenant of the White House scolded the reporter and released a phrase that became a Trump emblem: “You are fake news”.
