WH Press Secretary Sarah Sanders will leave office by the end of the month

US President Donald Trump announced that White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders will step down at the end of the month.

“After 3 and a half years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will leave the White House at the end of the month and go home to the great state of Arkansas. She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for governor of Arkansas, it would be fantastic. Sarah, thanks for a job well done! “Said Trump.

In private conversations in recent weeks, Sanders has been considering running as governor in her home state of Arkansas, according to two people familiar with the talks.

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson was re-elected last year, so unless he resigns early (or is designated), the governor’s office in Little Rock will not be available until January 2023.

Sanders has told her colleagues and friends that she believes that running for an election office would be a good step for her, rather than accepting a job on television.
