Trump asks Apple to manufacture its iPhones in the US instead of China

President Donald Trump publicly asked Apple to move the production of its popular iPhones and the rest of its products from China to the US, a scenario that he was convinced will happen.

“I want Apple to manufacture its iPhones and all the good products it makes in the United States. And that is something that is going to happen, “the president said at a press conference held in the White House gardens.

Trump responded to the question of a journalist who was inquiring about the substantial downward revision on Wednesday of sales expectations of the apple company for the first quarter of fiscal year 2019, which now plans to enter 84,000 million of dollars.

This figure is significantly below the between 89,000 and 93,000 million previously forecast.

“Do not forget that Apple manufactures its products in China. I told Tim Cook (the CEO of the company), who is a friend of mine, ‘manufacture your products in the USA. Build those nice big plants that stretch for miles in the US, “said Trump.

“China is the biggest beneficiary of Apple, more than we are,” the president riveted in a new episode of the trade war his administration has with the Chinese government.

Trump said he was not worried about Apple’s recent falls in the stock market as a result of the revision of sales expectations and assured that the company’s value in the markets has risen sharply since he assumed the presidency.

It is foreseen that the company of the bitten apple will publish the final results (corresponding to the months of October, November and December of 2018 but which constitute its first fiscal quarter of 2019) at the beginning of February.
