In pictures: Hurricane Dorian leaving devastation in the Bahamas

The Prime Minister of the Bahamas, Hubert Minnis, lamented the devastation caused by hurricane Dorian, a category 5 monster that began hitting this Sunday the northwest parts of the Bahamas.

Hurricane Dorian tore across the Bahamas on Sunday as a historically powerful category 5 hurricane, officials said, leaving scenes of devastation in its path.

Minnis said there are parts of Great Abaco Island where “you can’t tell the difference at the beginning of the street or the place where the ocean begins.”

Several videos that circulate on social networks show houses that have roof missing, there are effects on public service lines and cars overturned by the powerful category 5 hurricane.
